Calypso is the name of one of the planets in the virtual Entropia Universe. On Calypso there are two continents, Eudoria and Amethera. Read the EU History article for a better understanding of the planet's colonization. When you first arrive on Calypso (after creating your avatar) your adventure will begin at the Shuttle landing site in the bustling outpost of Port Atlantis, or in the cultural city of New Oxford (depending on the choice you made when setting up your account).

The only equipment you have to begin with is your standard orange colonist outfit, some underwear and a pair of shoes. Any other equipment you might want must be acquired through the Trade Terminal, the auction, a shop (or shoopkeeper) or through direct trade with other colonists.

Calypso is orbited by two moons and forms part of a local solar system with 11 other planets. Calypso's area is 2900 square kilometres.

Teleporters

A teleporter is a machine that can move your avatar great distances in almost no time at all. There are many teleporters scattered around the continents on Calyspo, most often found in the most populated cities, towns and outposts.

All new colonists that arrive on Calypso will automatically have a teleporter from the other continent in their list. For example, if you arrive in Port Atlantis on the Eudoria continent, you will also have the New Oxford teleporter on the Amethera continent and vice versa.

All other teleporters must first be discovered before they can be used. While you explore Calypso you will discover towns and outposts that include teleporters. Walk onto the teleporters you discover and they will automatically be added to your teleporter list.

You will now be able to teleport between the areas and teleporters on your list.
