Planet Calypso is the first and original planet within the Entropia Universe.
Calypso is the name of one the planets in the virtual Entropia Universe. On Calypso there are two continents, Eudoria and Amethera. Read the EU History article for a better understanding of the planet’s colonization.
Before arriving on Calypso (after creating your unique avatar and name on the Exodus Space Station) your adventure will begin on the Calypso Gateway island. After completing your initiation to Crafting, Hunting and Mining you can move off the island, but you can never return.
The only equipment you have to begin with is your standard orange colonist outfit, some underwear and a pair of shoes. Any other equipment you might want must be acquired through the Trade Terminal, the auction, a shop (or shopkeeper) or through direct trade with other colonists.
Planet Calyspo Environment
Calypso is orbited by two moons and forms part of a local solar system with 11 other planets. Calypso’s area is 2900 square kilometers.

Planet Calypso presents a vast landscape to explore, with two continents, Eudoria and Amethera. Both continents are located on the planet Calypso. There are also two player owned constructs orbiting the planet; Club NEVERDIE and the Crystal Palace Space Station.
To get around on Planet Calypso you must first collect the teleporters (commonly refered to as TPs), to do this you can either walk/run (free), drive a car (economical) or use a teleport chip (fast). Once you unlock the TPs you can quickly travel between locations without spending PED.
NOTE: The old system of travel off-world, hangars and spaceships, was removed in the transition to VU 10 and is yet to be reinstated. However you can still pay vehicle owners to taxi you around the planet.
All areas within the Planet Calypso are inhabited by dangerous creatures or smart mobs.
Entropia Story Line
In a nut shell: Colonist traveled across the galaxy, from Earth to the planet Calypso, they create robots which rebel, war breaks out and nuclear warfare mutates the native creatures making it tough to survive outside of protected areas!
Coinciding with the major upheavals of VU 10: A major clash between Calypso and the Robots from there base in the Akbal-Cimi System saw a massive vessel, ‘War Titan Typhon’ exploded over and on Calypso, creating a major re-shift in the landscape.
The robots continue in there attempts to conquer Calypso.
A teleporter is a machine that can move your avatar great distances in almost no time at all. There are many teleporters scattered around the continents on Calyspo, most often found in the most populated cities, towns and outposts.
All new colonists that arrive on Calypso will automatically have a teleporter from the other continent in their list. For example, if you arrive in Port Atlantis on the Eudoria continent, you will also have the New Oxford teleporter on the Amethera continent and vice versa.
All other teleporters must first be discovered before they can be used. While you explore Calypso you will discover towns and outposts that include teleporters. Walk onto the teleporters you discover and they will automatically be added to your teleporter list.
You will now be able to teleport between the areas and teleporters on your list.
