Camp Phoenix

Camp Phoenix was renowned all over Calypso as one of the best places for newcomers to learn to sweat and hunt. Thus, many newbies gathered at the teleporter, which was out of range of the turret, and sweated mobs that kind and thoughtful people brought to the teleporter, while traders advertised their wares to the crowd.

There is a bug which allows you to stand on top of the antenna.

However, with the arrival of VU 8.6, a Turret was added next to the Teleporter, which prevented the previous sweat tactics from working. Since then Camp Phoenix has lost much of its previous popularity with the majority of sweaters going first to Fort Troy and more recently to Port Atlantis Swamp Camp and Nea’s Place.

On the positive side, this is still a good location for low level hunting and mining.
