Crystal Palace Main Hall
The Crystal Palace Space Station (commonly abbreviated to CP) is the first of two space stations in Entropia Universe, which was constructed in 2004 and managed by the Entropia Universe developers. It is a popular hunting ground for experienced hunters looking for a challenging time. Before the CryENGINE2 update the only way to get to the Crystal Palace was by flying, which requires the service of a pilot (CP now has a teleporter while the Hangers and Space Ships are being phased back in. The only other space station in Planet Calypso is the independently owned Club NEVERDIE which sold was bought for $100,000 USD back in 2005.
On the 14th of December 2009 the Crystal Palace Space Station was listed on public auction and in later that month it sold for 3,300,000 PED which is equivalent to $330,000 USD. The winning bidder was Erik Novak aka ‘Buzz Erik Lightyear’ from Canada. Buzz is already well established in Entropia as one of the most skilled crafters. He owns and supplies a chain of department stores across Planet Calypso. Owning the Space Station means he will now earn tax when players mine in the stations domes and hunt the two unique Mobs.
These Virtual Space Stations and Land Areas in the Entropia Universe have proven themselves as revenue earning business models if the Creatures and Events are well managed.
Auction and Terminals
The Crystal Palace Space Station is a large space station, however its chunky, large appearance is due to its many docking ports for spaceships, as well as the four bio-domes containing various species of aliens.
When you dock, you are transported to a small room with the basic necessities (Trade Terminal, Repair Terminal, Revival Terminal, Society Terminal), an auctioneer, and a bar. NOTE: There are no storage units anywhere on the station, so make sure you come with everything that you will need for the entire trip.
In addition, moving in space is far slower than moving on Calypso. You can run faster by using the auto-run function.
Hunting is done inside the four large bio-domes that house two of the toughest mobs in the game, namely Aurli and Kreltin. These mobs move relatively fast, since they live in space and have adapted to the gravity. They also have high HP and damage of exotic types, therefore many hunters prefer to form teams. These mobs also loot alien parts which are in high demand for crafting armor plates. Because these are tough mobs, there will generally be a greater chance of looting valuable items, as evidenced by the fact that a few hunters have gotten HOF and ATH entries.
Mining is not possible inside the bio-domes, or anywhere on the station.
Every Saturday official Crystal Palace events are hosted via using the event system and ticketing system. CP Saturdays is a series 5-6 one hour events Saturday at 18:00 MA time.
Downstairs in the large room located near the Crystal Palace TP there are 17 Market Booths. All the booths are filled with specific weapons, armour and storage items essential for hunter there for the two unique Mobs.
Because many people often camp at CP the prices are reasonable considering the additional fees that would be involved in using the auction or teleporter.
Traveling To and From
When you are ready to leave, there are two ways to get back to Calypso.
- Flying back down on a spaceship with a pilot. Pilot’s prices may vary from pilot to pilot.
- Using the station’s one-way TP to Port Atlantis. The TP costs 10 PED for a one way trip.
After the CryENGINE2 rebuild of Planet Calypso the ability to travel to the Space Station via Spaceship was disabled and the teleporter was installed for two way travel.
