Laser weapons have several distinct features: they operate on either Light, Medium, or Heavy Power Cells, generally have a higher efficiency rate as well as having a wide range of weapons. However, there are not a lot of affordable laser weapons that have a high damage per second. Additionally, the cost of using a laser weapon is distributed more to ammunition than to the decay of the weapon.
