So you are looking to pick up that perfect item, either the last piece of armour you need to complete your set, or a gift for that special someone. You have the PED but no idea where to pick up the item.
Fortunately for you there are many different areas on Calypso and on Club Neverdie in space to find exactly what you are looking for.
Grab your List and PED card and lets go shopping.

Shopping Around
There are 5 main places that one can find goods in EU.
- The Auction
- The Malls
- Shops
- Apartments
- Shopkeepers
Auction
The auction is probably the most convenient place to find many goods that you may be looking for. They can be accessed from any auctioneer located around the planet or on Club Neverdie. Items are nicely categorized and easy to brows.
The drawback is that you may not be able to get the item you are looking for right away, and you may get outbid by another Avatar. Some auctions have buyouts, but not all of them. The prices in auction also tend to be on the higher side, due to the competition from many people bidding.
The auction is probably the best place to look if you are trying to find material of any sort for crafting. Most miners and hunters use the auction to sell there loots.
For sheer quantity of items to brows through and ease of use the auctions are deffinetly a place you can look when shopping.
Malls
Since VU 8.8.2 the colonists on Calypso can enjoy shopping in 3 great malls. The malls are located at Twin Peaks, Port Atlantis, and Emerald Lake respectively. The malls are just a short run from the Trans Porters, and conveniently each is outfitted with a Trans Porter on the fourth floor.
Floors 1 - 3 are where you will be able to find a variety of shops packed full of various items. Most shop owners tend to specialize in certain items. Clothing, weapons, armour, and pets shops are just a few of the various types of specializing you will find.
You will almost always find people browsing the shops in the malls, and may run into a few Celebrities while you are there!
Shops
Shops and booths can be found on the first floor of many condo towers, and under the Deer in New Oxford. Though they work like the shops in the malls, these tend to be spread out a little bit more and see less traffic than the malls do. However because of this it is possible to find some great deals located in these areas.
Apartments
Many Avatars run a business out of there homes on Calypso. Most of these you will never know about unless you see an advertisement for them. A lot of hairdressers and other service oriented businesses are set up in apartments.
So be on the lookout for people advertising there home run businesses!
Shopkeepers
Shopkeepers can be found on any Colonist owned land area. Depending on where they are located these will contain anything at all from ammo and mines in the Outback areas of Amathera to clothing and skill implants.
You will also find them in shops.
They are an NPC that will sell you whatever they are stocked with for a pre determined price.
So next time you see a shopkeeper, go check it out. You never know what they may contain.
The buying part
All Sales Final! Keep that in mind!
Left click the item once to select it, then click again to bring up the item information window (unless its a light, then you need to right-click and find the menu item). At the info window, there's the 'buy item' button on the lower right of the window. On the main item screen there will be the TT price, the price that the shop is selling the item at, and then a small tax that the store charges.
Clicking the 'buy item' button, the player will be presented with another window, confirming the buy. Clicking 'yes' deducts the PED from your card, and puts the item in your inventory. Your chat box will also display the item name, the price and other information.
Also note the shop owner will get a notification of the item sold, for how much and who the buyer was.
When purchasing items from a shopkeeper you will have to drag the item from the main window to the buy window. The amount owed will be displayed. Clicking accept will allow you to purchase the item.
