and many many others, please post them below if you find them. Also, Sir Odd's guide can be used, as well as the old EP guide. I would like you to propose some huge categories to group smaller categories, suchs as

Welcome to Entropia Universe (before you install, downloading and installing, creating an account, choosing your destination, creating your avatar, basic software interface, basic game interface, ingame controls, small dictionary of terms, places to learn, mentor tips)

Ying-Yang Universe (bad mentors, scamming operations, etiquette, relations, societies)

Choosing your way (professions, skills, skilling, weapons and tools, specific guides)

Proffesional tips (mining, hunting, crafting, tailoring, trading, servicing... etc.)

Economy overview (estates, auction system, economy workings, cycles, avatar value, loot distribution)

Efficiency and skilling tips (maybe redundant, see professional tips)

Post and comment here, I talked to several guide releasers, and I would be more than happy if it would be possible to use the powers of the wiki to create an unified EU guide, completely based on VU 8 (VU 8.3 and up) and redistributable in many formats. So, comment away!

Unified EU guide

Dan: Sounds like a good idea... perhaps we should also have a subdomain that auto redirects to this guide, so that it is easier for people to type and remember, e.g. guide.pedirectory.info instead of www.pedirectory.info/wiki/index.php?title=Guide; You might also want to have various sections as well as an introduction to what Project Entropia is all about...; I believe that "Welcome to EU" should be separated into two parts, one for those who really are 100% newb and don't know what its about, this section will also serve as a way to capture their attention and make them keep on reading... also including crucial parts such as about the real world economy, concepts (but not how-to) of depositing and withdrawing...; Then the second part of "Welcome to EU" should be put in "Getting Started" e.g. downloading and installing, etc. This section should also include promoting the use of references, such as PE Directory, PE Wiki-Charts, etc. and also highlighting of useful software such as PE Assistant...; I also think that we could include a "Quick Reference" page that includes crucial stuff such as maps, brief list of danger level on mobs (perhaps similar to the one on EP); We would also need to think about advertising and publising about this collective "Guide"...

mrproper: Splitting the first chapter could be sometimes usable, but I want a full chapter filled with noob guides. I, you, any mentor or any ex-disciple should not be finding anything new there. So, fist chapter can pick up at any given moment from the time a future player finds out about the Entropia Universe up to the moment he experienced all 4 game professions and can perform any with satisfactory results.

Sir Odd: I like the way mrP set it out, just plain and simple for either newcomer or veteran of EU. Also, if help is needed into making a unified player guide I got some skill going about that. .doc, .pdf, can make most formats so I defnitly think that would be a nice addition.

mrproper: supply more resources and sites/documents. Also, propose individual lessons, such as the half page long ones from EU.com....

Sir Odd: Sir Odd's guide; Extra Activities(Partys, events, contest, etc.)

mrproper: Great ideea Sir Odd, this would go in the general Universe Activities, along with netiquette and eutiquette :)

Moving Pementor content here

Hello all my first post here :), having some thoughts about this website that I am now working on, I was going to be making it CMS but on second thoughts it may be easier to set up this info here at Entropia Directory over PeMentor. I still am going to work on bits there as I would like to include flash files, maybe some Entropia related flash games later on ;) but alot of the info could be usefull I think here. So as long as its ok with you guys running the site I will start to move some of the content over and then anyone can edit it as it changes.

mrproper: Great ideea Rotten ICE, remember to put your user page (the one from your nick link, topmost link) to good use. Let me invite you to our little talks made out to define some categories upon wich to classify lesson guides. MA has made some little improvements on their site, we need to use those too, actually several links with guides, guide sites and others are in order.; Problem is, we do not support flash yet, mediawiki does not support anything that could be misleading or unsecure :)

Society Creation section?

Fliss: Where should we add something about creating a society .. both the purpose of a society in the game, as well as how to create one. Playing around with it the last few weeks I've learned some tricks (such as that you can't kill a soc for 7 days) and I also have the full lists of rank titles for each category of society. Let me know where to plug these types of information in and i'll make it happen. :)

Dreamdancer: We should directly link to the pe-wiki.info guides which are sharp and to the point. Perhaps another pe-wiki banner?; Here are german translations of those guides. Perhaps we can add a section: Guides for peepil with reli bed Englisch?; This seems to be a french guide, but my french sucks, so someone should check if it's any good.; This dutch guide looks rather nice.

Sir Odd: Under beginners section there's the 'basic game guide', however all the topics about the game are covered in the other sections...is this page needed, or what should go in there?

Guide work

I propose we postpone all our work on the guide portal for Septemnber. Then we will follow a strict powerfull management plan to gather and include information into our guides. We might make some kind of 4 phases plane: quicly fill categories with stuff we alread know, gather TONS of links and external sources, fill the existing guides with all that information, then make a response procedure for VU updates and new interesting guides and info that appears on public channels.
