Beacon Run Only

Take a look at the following resources...

Beacon Funding

Since the individual loot distributions tend to range from about 2 PED up to 40 PED it seems unfair to ask everybody for 20 ped towards the next beacon regardless of how much loot they got. Therefor I have decided that at the next beacon, the beacon markup value will be taken from gross loot prior to distribution and handed to an officer (usually Taz) for the purpose of purchasing the next beacon. This will have 2 main effects:

  • Donations to next beacon will be proportionate to share of loot
  • Loot will be distributed mostly by proportion to decay, with less chance of the 50% profit rule being used.

Roles

Spearhead
The front line Bot Killers who will initiate the assault on all levels.
Aggressive Seek & Destroy
Self sufficient. Spearhead members will not require healing from dedicated medics.
All spearhead members will be in full plated Vigilante armour or better.
Support
Additional Bot Killers whose primary objective is to keep themselves alive by fapping and staying behind the spearhead when neccessary. They will assist the spearhead in aggressive bot killing as much as possible without risking their health.
Support bot killers will be in full shogun as a minimum requirement, but more often wear a combination of some Vigilante parts, completed with Paladin.
Sniper
Usually part of the main Spearhead, the Sniper(s) will neutralize any Bot Snipers in difficult or remote positions.
Photographer (if present)
Primary role is to take pics or video of the action on the way up.
Medics
First priority is to Heal themselves and the Photographer (if present) at all costs
As a secondary priority, heal the Support Bot Killers
Medics should stay behind the front line at all times
All team members are looters. RECON your assigned looting levels before we move to the next.
When you reach the end of the level it is very important to WAIT for the mission leader's "TP now" or "lets go" instruction before moving on to the next level. This avoids communication problems arising from team members mis-understanding instructions because they are not on the level they relate to

Special Roles

Boss Killers
A team of 2 cross the bridge on Lvl 6 and take out the Warrior ~06
Everyone else waits at the TP ready to go down as soon as the Boss is killed and 2 specific messages have been received.
Boss Killer Team loot top level, taking one side each, then move down and loot the level below.
Sprinter(s)
Move quickly through all levels and does not loot until back on the lowest level and the shuttle itself.
If successful the sprinters will be the only team members to survive the destruction of the Mother Ship.
Maze Team
The maze team will be 2 - 4 people who are confident that they can find their way around the maze level. This will likely be decided at the maze level while on the way up and is usually made up of people who have printed out the map.
All team members
Complete your assigned level as quickly as possible, leaving no boxes unopened, then sprint for the shuttle and escape!

Levels

We shall be adopting Dreamdancer's new naming method for the levels while on the beacon run. Until the run starts we still have to refer to the levels by sequence as we do not know the exact number or order of the levels.

Shuttle Level (level 1, at the bottom)
Ring Level
Maze Level
Stepped Level
"F" Level
Pistol Level
Boss Level (Top level)

Please study the map and make sure you understand which level is which.

e.g. on our last beacon mission the order was:

Shuttle level (level 1)
Stepped level (level 2)
Maze Level (level 3)
"F" level (level 4)
Pistol level (level 5)
Boss level (Top level - 6)

Please Note

  • Time will be spent collecting expenditure data before and after the mission - patience is required during this phase.
  • A team-auction of looted items will take place after the mission, prior to loot distribution - again, patience is required.
  • If mission loot breaks even or is loss, then loot is distributed proportionate to exdenditure.
  • If mission loot is in profit then loot is distributed as above to 100% expenditure, then excess is distributed 50% proportionate to expenditure and 50% even split.
  • The mission is deemed to have started once the team has been formed. Any loot collected after this point, whether on the robot ship or planet-side en-route to the beacon, must be split as part of the mission loot, as described above.
