- A couple recent idea's Ive been thinking about, so lemme know what ya think.
T-Shirts! This has been in the back of my mind ever since the webpage looked like it was going to actually work, and it now has. Haven't worked out actual designs, logo's, or unit cost yet, but including shipping it could be as low as $10 each. I'd be selling then over this website, and if we can manage it actually get MA to let us sell in-game! After all, at this point there aren't many people who DONT know about us! The point isn't just OUR logo, it is just cool sci-fi themed T's, that (ahem) happen to have our logo.. and yes, Im aware of what we can and cannot do without copyright permissions. They can't copyright the REAL ME holding a REAL GUN in a REAL PIC on a Tshirt I SELL. hehe ;-) But if everyone gets excited about the idea, mabee I could write of a business proposal to get the ball rolling on liscenced memorabilia! Yes, Im the guy to do it.
On the social front, and no way Im gonna work on this for real until after we do about 5 beacon runs and demonstrate some semblance of working as a big team.. but.. I was talking the the leader of the Drow the other day, and casually I suggested it might be fun for us to have a guild war! We would set a time and location in a PVP area, perhaps hosted by someone's LA, and guild vrs guild fight over the objective. I offered as our silly objective a pile of 50,000 dung. Then I can title it "king of the dunghill". We would have nutral cameramen and photographers, perhaps some after-game interviews, probably get a decent vidio of it done all nice, and possibly gain more reputation out of it. The thing is, Im pretty sure they would totally destroy you guys! LOL. Because for one thing they would show up with about three times as many people as us. Anyway..it's just a long term side project in my head.

- EULA sais you can't use MA and EU related names, logos, graphics under your own licence, whatever that would be. Also, anything EU related is owned by MA in terms of name and trademark, you only have the right to use those items inside the game. You do not actually OWN anything, you get to use it in the universe they OWN. Pretty logic since you can't take out in RL a mod fap and use it :P

- I like the war idea! sounds like a fun event witch we can learn from. Im not a bad looser (but i dont like it ;) ). We will realy need all of our members witch might be a prob.

- Yes prop, Im aware of all that, it is pretty standard stuff. However, JD, not MA, owns www.entropiadirectory.com and I don't think anyone whould have a problem with a T-Shirt that has a graphic and that on it. And as I said, MA if contacted in the right context, including a royalty Im sure, might be interested in a liscencing agreement. But that's alot deeper then I intended at this point. Just throwing ideas out there. It gives us something to discuss, and ideas tend to cause other ideas...

- Been thinking about merchandising for some time and have a few ideas tucked away. Also I want to explore the copyright issues of art inspired by EU Screenshots, surely we would own that if it did not use the names but for instance we set up a screenshot then I (Yeah I can paint) or someone does an artists impression....?

- Guild war.. glad you picked Drow. Probably where I would be if not for ED (a lot of Aussie's in Drow) also know a few others (Delta Force & TWU) that would be up for this as some kind of multi society event wich could lead to alliance for LandGrab.. Maybe we could start with a basic rule, we match numbers per battle any extras get assigned as Photographers, etc. We should start sketching out the guidlines of how this would all work maybe here User talk:Logan Runner Grey/GuildWars
Latest silly idea, more as a joke then anything else, came from JD making a typo while talking. PLAYBOT ..yes kids, that right! A (webpage) fake magazine of drones in compromising poses! Perhaps with a nice bio about their likes and dislikes, their perfect date, and their ambitions for world peace.
