Screenshots
I know this is asking too much, but before you take screenshots make sure that you try to
- allocate a whole game session only for taking screenshots
- tweak the video driver settings to high quality (no AA)

- Lighting is maxed, terrain absolutely makes no difference whatsoever, I just checked.
- restart the game and get your screenshots. They must look better!

Only a suggestion. You need to redo the above if you want fluid hunting action.

- Still, a screenie that does not look completely crappy is better than none. Can't say it does look completely crappy, but I can understand if you beg to differ. I see them at 1600 resolution only out-of-game.

- Did not used the word crappy, they look pretty good and fine, the engine is not THAT good, but your mipmap levels look low. I mean the LOD is too fuzzy at close distance. Make sure you play with your mipmap settings (aka Texture quality). I use sometimes extra tweakers to set the LOD to negative giving me extremely sharp textures with a performance drop. But if you say you are all set correctly, I will not argue, I know my pictures could look better.

- OK, first of all, you know a lot more about that than I do (negative Level of Detail? Or is that another acronym not known to me? Fill me in). Happy for suggestions. Might have overlooked the fact that the client loader's color depth was set to 16bits only. Changed that, but still cannot see a difference. My performance bottleneck is memory, so I don't think I could worsen my hunting experience ;).

- Well I am a gamer for about 14 years now and I do have a tendency for tweaking everything and finding out how it works, hence my life worthy project of getting to the core of Entropia Universe. Hollywood could'nt make a movie about that :P
- 3rd party nVidia and ATI tweakers allow for negative mipmapping lod settings, forcing far away mipmaps to show a higher detail. Also anysotropy settings should get to a maximum settings, preferrably at least trilinear if not a TAP version.
- EU loads textures into the memory and then transfers them to the video card when a model is loaded. By forcing the engine to load more clearer textures for several objects, you get a performance drop, and lower fps from the system being more busy overall.

Global Logging Woes
OK, I officially suck at taking screenies of globals. I got another one just a few hours after number 42 and 43 which I had with Runner and a guy we picked up.
I wasnt fast enough to catch the actual Global message though. It was some 89 PEDs total, including a King Rifle. Dunno if thats worth anything like it is.

- When you see something strange, hit the button like mad!
- When you want to save the timestamp/location, press C, P and scroll the chat around until you have the all the stuff you need.
- Pressing the button when the glo(w)bal(ls) are on is of great effect.

as you can see (especially on an LCD) there are very little artifact pixels or fuzzy pixels on my icons.

- I uploaded OLA-30 info as a PNG. Will not do this again, the pics are just too large. We should make 95% JPEG from the interesting things (CR Box, Info Box) and note the CR location. Will remove file when I've done so.

CP Visit
Shame on me, I actually deposited. With my new wealth and all, I am planning on going to CP in late January/early February, mostly to gather Info on the Station. I wonder if anyone is interested in coming, too. If you are, tell me your name and online hours here, so we can find a good date for the trip.
